Ester’s Place Foundation Presents “Wellness Symposium: Do You Know Your O’s” To Advocate Ovarian Cancer Awareness September 21 In Southaven, MS

Southaven, MS —  Zantino Kimmons invites you to join the community as Ester’s Place Foundation brings awareness to ovarian cancer during September and beyond. Ovarian cancer is known as the “whispering disease,” with only 15% of ovarian cancers diagnosed at stage one.  Kimmons, a music, ministry, and accounting executive, launched Ester’s Place Foundation (EPF) in honor of his mother, Mary Ester Kimmons, who passed away after being diagnosed with stage four ovarian cancer in 2018.  His mission is to educate and have open conversations with women, families, and caregivers about detection, treatment, and living with and surviving ovarian cancer.

Ester’s Place Foundation will host a series of events to engage and educate the community.  Staying fit is a foundation for good health. You can dance your way to a healthy lifestyle with Hip Hop Body Trainer Andre Parson GET XTREME with ANDRE PARSON is the first event that is free to the public on Saturday, September 14 from 10AM to 12PM at Memphis School of Excellence Gymnasium, 4921 Winchester Rd, Memphis, TN 38118.

Kimmons’ life-changing experience caring for his mother during her ovarian cancer fight is the fuel to his compassionate mission to prompt women to be proactive about their health and pay attention to their bodies.

“Since my journey with my mother’s fight with ovarian cancer,  I’ve had many conversations with women, and they are uneducated on the various and specific tests and treatments available,” Kimmons explains.  “I created this organization to raise awareness of this and other cancers.  October is highly known as breast cancer awareness month, but it’s not the only cancer killing our women, and I want to talk about it because this is not a black thing or a white thing; it’s about all women!”

Mark your calendars for September as Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month, and join Zantino Kimmons and Ester’s Place Foundation for these events and life-saving information you can share.
